Luza Group is a consulting firm focused on talent, tech and innovation, seeking an experienced Oracle Database Specialist to optimize performance and lead data-centric projects across platforms. You will work with ExaCC, ZFS, and ZDLRA teams to ensure efficient, secure data services.

Qualificações

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of hands-on Oracle DB experience in production environments.
• Proven expertise in performance tuning, compression and resource optimization.
• Hands-on experience with ExaCC, ZFS and ZDLRA is a strong plus.
• OS knowledge: Linux/Unix (primary) and Windows (secondary).

Responsabilidades

• Optimize Oracle DB performance via compression, query tuning and indexing.
• Fine-tune ExaCC CPU allocation to improve usage efficiency.
• Optimize backup/recovery for Oracle ZFS and ZDLRA, cost-effectively.
• Lead key projects including Kerberos auth and Oracle client upgrades.
• Advise development teams on database design, SQL, performance and scale.
• Perform root cause analysis of performance incidents escalated from infra.
• Enforce access controls, TDE, auditing and audit-quality docs.
• Contribute to multi-platform environments (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Synapse).
• Collaborate with infra partners, dev teams and stakeholders.

What You'll do:

• Optimize Oracle database performance through compression techniques, query tuning and indexing strategy — with a focus on ExaCC CPU efficiency, storage cost reduction and I/O efficiency;
• Fine-tune Oracle CPU allocation algorithms on ExaCC to maximize the used/allocated ratio and minimize waste;
• Optimize backup and recovery processes for Oracle ZFS and ZDLRA appliances, ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness;
• Lead and support key projects, including migration to Kerberos authentication and Oracle Client upgrades;
• Guide development teams on best practices for database design, SQL coding, performance and scalability;
• Perform root cause analysis on performance incidents and complex database issues escalated from infrastructure partners;
• Enforce access management, TDE encryption, auditing controls and audit-quality documentation;
• Contribute to multi-platform environments (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Synapse) where relevant;
• Collaborate with infrastructure partners, development teams and project stakeholders across initiatives.

Who You Are:

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable technical field;
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience with Oracle databases in production environments;
• Proven expertise in performance tuning, compression and resource optimization;
• Hands-on experience with ExaCC, ZFS and ZDLRA is a strong plus;
• OS knowledge: Linux and/or Unix (primary), Windows (secondary).
