Mercor is seeking a native Odiya annotator to join its team. The role involves bounding and classifying page regions, ensuring accurate reading order, and producing faithful transcriptions in Odiya script. You will also capture page metadata and participate in peer review to uphold quality standards.

The ideal candidate has experience in annotation or transcription workflows, extreme attention to detail, and comfort with complex layouts and scripts.

Qualificações

• Native Odiya speaker with full command of the script and orthography.
• Character-level accuracy is essential for transcription and annotation.
• Experience with document annotation, transcription, localization, or QA is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Open and check a task: ensure the page is in Odiya, legible, with real content and no personal details.
• Annotate structure by bounding meaningful regions and assign component types and reading order indices.
• Record relationships by linking regions to their parent figure or table.
• Transcribe faithfully in Odiya script, flagging unreadable content.
• Capture page metadata (language, document type, source, dimensions, handwriting/ formulas).
• Review a colleague’s work through a second expert review to ensure quality.
