IRIUM Portugal is seeking a Mid Machine Learning Engineer to bring ML models into production with a focus on reliability, monitoring, and performance. You will contribute to MLOps and scalable production-ready systems while collaborating with Data Scientists and Data Engineers.

The role requires 3+ years in ML, strong Python and SQL, and experience with Docker/Kubernetes, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). Hybrid Lisbon office work is expected.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning.
• Experience productionising and deploying ML models.
• Experience building ML-focused CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Strong Python skills: project structuring, reusable/testable code, OOP, design patterns.
• Strong SQL skills for data querying/manipulation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) for ML workloads.
• Understanding of MLOps fundamentals: versioning, PRs, code reviews, ML versioning.
• Experience with ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
• Experience deploying models using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience monitoring models in production and building model-serving APIs with FastAPI or Flask.
• Ability to collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers.
• English – minimum B2.
• Availability to work 2 days per week at the Lisbon office.

• Experience collaborating with Data Scientists and Data Engineers on model deployment and data transformation initiatives


• Ability to develop solutions from scratch and work pragmatically in environments where MLOps processes are still being established


• English – minimum B2


• Availability to work 2 days per week at the Lisbon office

Preferred Competencies:

• Knowledge of Java or Scala for integration with existing systems


• Experience with retraining automation


• Experience implementing monitoring and alerting for production ML models


• Experience building MLOps practices and deployment processes from the ground up
