Job summary

ASSOCIAÇÃO BIOPOLIS invites applications for a Research Technician on a fixed-term contract of up to 12 months to support the BEAGLE project on biodiversity methods for monitoring. Applicants must hold a master's degree in biology or environmental sciences, have lab experience, and be able to work with interdisciplinary teams in marine biodiversity and taxonomy; English proficiency required.

The role requires flexibility, weekend/holiday field campaigns when needed, and a driving licence;

Qualifications

• Experience in laboratory work.
• Experience in organising and promoting events.
• Experience in science communication and/or teaching in the field of sciences.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of marine biodiversity and taxonomy.
• Spoken and written knowledge of English.
• Availability, when necessary and under the legally applicable terms, to work outside normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays, within the scope of field campaigns and project activities.
• Driving licence.
