MORE – Mountains of Research Collaborative Laboratory – Association procura Técnico de Investigação para integrar o projeto EdgeOnVespa. O papel envolve atividades técnicas, coleta de dados e desenvolvimento, com foco na interligação de componentes eletrônicos e validação de protótipos.

É exigido Mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica ou áreas relacionadas, domínio de Português e Inglês, autonomia e disponibilidade para viagens.

Qualificações

• Mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica ou áreas correlatas, com certificado nesta área.
• Experiência com sistemas embarcados, microcontroladores, sensores e atuadores de precisão.
• Conhecimento de I2C, UART e RS485 para interconexão de módulos.
• Sólida experiência em validação de protótipos e testes funcionais de sistemas.
• Capacidade de trabalhar de forma autônoma e viajar pelo país.

Responsabilidades

• Executar atividades técnicas, apoiando a coleta de dados e o desenvolvimento, consolidação e interligação de componentes eletrônicos do sistema.
• Montar módulos funcionais desenvolvidos e validar o protótipo completo, incluindo a comunicação entre módulos.
• Participar de reuniões com parceiros do projeto e em ações de disseminação e comunicação externa.

1 Research Technician

within the scope of the R&D operation

EdgeOnVespa – Edge Computing System for the Detection and Neutralization of the Asian Hornet

(Code: NORTE2030-FEDER-02972100), approved under call MPr-2025-04 SIID – Business R&D – Collaborative Operations – Low-Density Territories. The Research Technician will carry out

technical activities, namely s upporting data collection and the development, consolidation and interconnection of the electronic components of the system to be developed within the project. The position also involves the

assembly of the developed functional modules and validation of the complete system prototype, as well as the

validation of communication between the different system modules in a controlled environment. The Research Technician will also participate in

meetings with project partners

and in

external communication and dissemination activities

related to the project, at both national and international levels.

Requirements

• Research Field Engineering » Electrical engineering Education Level Master Degree or equivalent Skills/Qualifications Experience in the construction, testing and integration of systems into functional prototypes, including proof-of-concept validation;
• Experience in the development and integration of embedded electronic systems, including microcontrollers, sensors and precision actuators (stepper motors or servomotors);
• Experience with serial communication protocols (I2C, UART and RS485) for hardware module interconnection;
• Experience with self-sustaining power supply systems for field devices, including solar panels and battery management;
• Experience in functional testing and prototype validation in controlled environments;
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Experience in communication and dissemination activities.

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields;
• The Master's degree must be supported by a degree certificate issued by a Portuguese higher education institution or, if the degree was obtained outside Portugal, by the corresponding official recognition of the academic degree in Portugal;
• Good command of Portuguese and English, both written and spoken;
• Autonomy and ability totravel within Portugal using a service vehicle;
