Job summary

Aubay Portugal is seeking a trainer to design and deliver technical training for developers on the Mainframe DevOps platform. You will create materials, manuals, and video tutorials, and provide ongoing technical assistance.

You will support CI/CD, automation, and quality standards within the Mainframe environment, collaborating with IT squads on modernization efforts. Fluent in French and English; hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mainframe technologies including COBOL, CICS, Db2, VSAM, Changeman, and TSO.
• 4+ years of experience in technical training, developer enablement, or technical support in IT environments.
• Experience with Git, Python, Java 8+, and Groovy.
• Familiarity with code quality tools and IDEs such as SonarQube, Eclipse, IBM IDz, and VS Code.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; able to explain concepts to developers at varying levels.
• Fluent in French and English; aligned with corporate integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

What will you do?

• Design and deliver technical training sessions adapted to developers' needs on the Mainframe DevOps platform;
• Create and maintain comprehensive training materials, including user guides, manuals, video tutorials, and practical documentation;
• Provide ongoing technical assistance and troubleshooting to developers adopting the new DevOps tools and processes;
• Analyse technical issues, identify root causes, and propose sustainable solutions to improve development practices;
• Support the adoption of CI/CD tools, automation practices, and software quality standards within the Mainframe environment;
• Contribute to Mainframe modernisation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts in collaboration with other IT squads.
