Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong fundamentals: testing, clean code, modularity, observability, incident management.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and secure coding practices.
• Familiar with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Ensure robust, secure, and scalable code following established architecture and best practices.
• Build and deploy applications on AWS, utilizing services such as ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS, and CloudWatch.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ensuring reliable and repeatable cloud environments.
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver features.
• Participate in troubleshooting, monitoring, and user support activities as part of the product team.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development, cloud, and DevOps.

We're looking for a Software Engineer to help modernize the applications supporting our Finance and Manco Oversight teams. You'll work across the full delivery lifecycle — from process discovery and architecture, to development, cloud deployment, and AI integration — to retire from legacy systems, cut manual work, and improve data quality and efficiency.

This is a hands‑on role combining strong engineering skills with genuine interest in the business domain. You'll modernize legacy applications, redesign key processes, and build secure, scalable, AI‑enabled solutions on AWS, working closely with operational and product teams to deliver measurable value while balancing innovation with security, resilience, and cost.

In this context, your role will include:

Requirements

Our ideal candidates should have:

Mandatory skills

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong fundamentals: testing, clean code, modularity, observability, incident management.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and secure coding practices.
• Familiar with SQL and NoSQL databases

Valued assets

• Experience developing and deploying solutions in AWS environments
• Experience with AI tools or frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Experience with version control tools such as GitHub or GitLab
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus as well as knowledge in managing infrastructure using Terraform.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
• Knowledge of monitoring and alerting solutions.
