Decskill, an IT consulting company operating from Lisbon, Porto and Madrid, is seeking a Sys Admin & Application Production Support professional to provide maintenance and incident handling for WM IT Data Platform applications. The role includes on-call rotations, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure production stability.

The ideal candidate has strong Unix/Linux, SQL/PLSQL, and Oracle DB experience in banking environments, plus familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker,

Qualificações

• L1/L2 application support experience in banking.
• Strong Unix/Linux and Shell scripting.
• Expert SQL/PLSQL, Oracle DB and data warehousing experience.
• Dynatrace and Kubernetes experience.
• ITIL-based incident management and on-call rotation experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide Application Production Support for WM IT Data Platform applications and tools.
• Handle incidents, service requests, and L1/L2 application support activities.
• Participate in shift schedules and on-call rotations.
• Prioritize and resolve incidents raised by business teams while ensuring high service quality.
• Troubleshoot application, middleware, and system issues by analyzing logs and identifying root causes.
• Monitor application health, availability, and performance.
• Produce operational reports and contribute to improving service quality and availability.
• Actively participate in Continuous Service Improvement initiatives, addressing recurring issues through automation or Problem Management.
• Support Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises and Live Play activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability and reliability of production applications.

We are looking for an Sys Admin & Appplication Production Support!

Responsabilities:

• Provide Application Production Support for WM IT Data Platform applications and tools.


• Handle incidents, service requests, and L1/L2 application support activities.


• Participate in shift schedules and on-call rotations.


• Prioritize and resolve incidents raised by business teams while ensuring high service quality.


• Troubleshoot application, middleware, and system issues by analyzing logs and identifying root causes.

Requirements

• Experience providing L1/L2 Application Support in a banking environment.


• Strong understanding of core banking operations.


• Proven troubleshooting and incident resolution skills.


• Experience supporting business-critical production environments.


• Expert knowledge of Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting.


• Strong expertise in Oracle Database, Data Warehousing, Data Platforms, SQL, and PL/SQL.


• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace.


• Working knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s).


• Experience with Docker.


• Knowledge of Ansible.


• Familiarity with Autosys.


• Experience with middleware technologies such as MQ and Tomcat.


• Understanding of Cloud Computing concepts.


• Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.


• Knowledge of ITIL practices.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.


• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and participate in shift and on-call support rotations.
