Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Head of Advanced Data Solutions to guide Data & AI strategy across Compression Service. You will shape governance, architecture, and scalable data products, leading a global team of data engineers, scientists, and digital product specialists.

You will partner with global and regional teams to turn complex challenges into scalable digital solutions, delivering measurable business value and data‑driven decisions.

As Head of Advanced Data Solutions, you will play a key role in shaping the future of data and AI across Siemens Energy’s Compression Global Service Operations.

You will define and drive the Data & AI strategy for Compression Service, strengthen data governance and architecture, and lead the development of scalable data products, advanced analytics, and high-impact AI solutions. A key focus will be the continued evolution of the Compression Information System, creating a trusted, asset-centric data foundation to support operational excellence and data-driven commercial decisions.

Working in a global and highly collaborative environment, you will lead an international, multidisciplinary team of data engineers, data scientists, and digital product specialists. You will partner closely with global and regional Service organizations, IT, Digital Core, and other key stakeholders to turn complex business challenges into scalable digital solutions and measurable business value.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Define and execute the Data & AI strategy for Compression Service, translating business priorities into a clear strategic roadmap and portfolio of initiatives.


• Establish and continuously strengthen data governance, ownership models, data-quality standards, stewardship practices, and architecture principles across the organization.


• Lead the evolution of the Service Data Backbone and Compression Information System, creating an integrated and asset-centric data foundation for operational and commercial decision-making.


• Manage and prioritize the Data & AI solutions portfolio based on business criticality, feasibility, expected value, scalability, and compliance requirements.


• Direct the development and scaling of reusable data products, ensuring clear semantic definitions, data lineage, quality, ownership, and lifecycle management.


• Drive high-priority AI and advanced analytics initiatives, leveraging technologies such as machine learning, Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and AI agents.


• Accelerate process digitalization by providing decision-makers with trusted insights, dashboards, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.


• Lead, coach, and develop an international and multidisciplinary team of data engineers, data scientists, and digital product specialists.


• Build strong partnerships across global and regional Service teams, IT, Digital Core, and external partners to ensure alignment, adoption, and sustainable value creation.


• Communicate Data & AI strategies, investment cases, priorities, and delivery roadmaps effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.

What You Bring

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Technology, or a comparable field.


• Several years of professional experience leading teams, portfolios, or transformation programs in Data, Analytics, AI, Digital Products, or technology-enabled business transformation.


• Strong experience defining and executing strategic roadmaps and translating business challenges into scalable data and digital solutions.


• Solid knowledge of modern cloud data platforms and architectures, including data modeling, semantic layers, data lineage, data quality, and governance frameworks.


• Good understanding of AI and advanced analytics, including machine learning, LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, predictive analytics, and Business Intelligence.


• Experience developing and managing data products and their lifecycle, from concept and prioritization through implementation, adoption, scaling, and value realization.


• Strong portfolio management capabilities, including use-case prioritization, investment evaluation, roadmap management, and business value tracking.


• Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to lead, coach, and develop cross-functional and international teams.


• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex Data & AI concepts and investment cases clearly to both technical and executive audiences.


• Experience working in asset-intensive industries, industrial services, energy, or enterprise service operations would be highly beneficial.


• A strategic and entrepreneurial mindset combined with a pragmatic approach to execution, strong ownership, and the ability to drive transformation in a complex global organization.
