Decskill in Portugal is seeking a Lead Frontend AI to guide a growing team of frontend engineers, shaping scalable, high-performance web apps and keeping hands-on coding alive.

You will mentor, drive architecture, embrace React, Redux/React Query, and collaborate with product managers and back-end engineers to translate requirements into robust solutions. Hybrid work model and international projects offered.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• 2+ years of extensive React experience.
• Experience leading or mentoring a team of engineers.
• Strong front-end architecture knowledge (state mgmt, routing, performance).
• Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs and backend integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and Agile practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

We would like to meet a Lead Frontend AI for a project with a hybrid working model:

What You'll Do:

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of front-end engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Drive the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable, and high-performance front-end applications.
• Stay hands-on with development, contributing to code reviews, technical decisions, and the delivery of production-quality software.
• Establish and promote front-end engineering best practices, including architecture, testing, performance optimization, and code quality.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and back-end engineers to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve development workflows, tools, and processes.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience, including at least 2 years working extensively with React.
• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or managing a team of engineers, either formally or as a Tech Lead.
• Solid understanding of front-end architecture, including state management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query, routing, performance optimization, and testing.
• Experience working with REST or GraphQL APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile development practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance hands-on coding responsibilities with people leadership.
• A proven track record of delivering production-quality software in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
