Decskill is seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer for a hybrid project based in Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra or nearby areas. You will drive frontend architecture, oversee React-based development, and collaborate with product and backend teams to deliver scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes leadership, hands-on coding, and delivering production-quality software while growing technically and professionally within a collaborative environment.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• At least 2 years working extensively in React.
• Experience integrating AI features into front-end applications.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or managing a team of engineers.
• Solid understanding of front-end architecture: state management, routing, performance, testing.
• Familiarity with REST or GraphQL APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.

We would like to meet a Lead Frontend Engineer for a hybrid project based in Lisboa, Viseu, Coimbra or Porto.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience, with at least 2 years working extensively in React.
• Practical experience integrating AI features into front-end applications.
• Prior experience leading, mentoring, or managing a team of engineers (formally or as a tech lead).
• Solid understanding of front-end architecture: state management (Redux, Zustand, React Query, etc.), routing, performance optimization, and testing.
• Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and agile development practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to balance hands-on coding with people leadership.
• A track record of shipping production-quality software in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Familiarity with geographic information systems (GIS) is a plus.
• Fluency in English.
