Job summary

Zego is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to be the technical authority within our data engineering function, shaping a scalable, secure data platform as we grow.

This is a hands-on role focused on building pipelines, warehouses and streaming systems while mentoring engineers and collaborating across Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Product.

You’ll promote best practices, drive architecture decisions and help turn technical work into business value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Data Engineer on scalable data platforms.
• Hands-on with modern data stacks and cloud environments.
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and large-scale architectures.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines, warehouses, and streaming systems.
• Mentor engineers, review code, and coach others to grow technical skills.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Product to meet data needs.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap for data engineering.
