Capgemini Portugal is hiring a Junior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Porto/Vila Nova de Gaia Tech Hub. You will help implement observability and reliability across cloud-native platforms, instrument apps with OpenTelemetry and build dashboards and alerts to improve service uptime.

The role requires 1-3 years of experience in Observability, SRE or DevOps, knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and AKS, and scripting skills in Python/Go/Bash.

Qualificações

• 1-3 years of experience in Observability, SRE, DevOps, Cloud Operations or Platform Engineering.
• Knowledge of observability concepts including metrics, logs, traces and alerting.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and AKS environments.
• Familiarity with Azure Monitor and cloud-native monitoring solutions.
• Understanding of SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets and reliability engineering principles.
• Experience supporting production environments and incident management activities.
• Scripting and automation skills using Python, Go or Bash.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Support the implementation and adoption of observability and reliability practices across cloud-native platforms.
• Instrument applications using OpenTelemetry and ensure effective collection of metrics, logs and traces.
• Create and maintain dashboards, alerts and monitoring solutions.
• Support incident response activities and contribute to service reliability improvements.
• Assist in defining and monitoring SLIs, SLOs and Error Budgets.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads and observability components running on AKS.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Platform teams to improve platform stability and operational excellence.
• Develop scripts and automation to reduce operational effort and improve efficiency.
• Contribute to production readiness reviews, runbooks and reliability documentation.
