Job summary

Capgemini Portugal is launching a new Tech Hub in Porto, inviting a Senior Analytics Engineer to shape scalable data products and semantic models using SQL and dbt.

You will own KPIs, lead data quality, and drive analytics migrations from SAP BW to modern platforms, mentoring peers while collaborating with engineers, analysts and scientists.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Modelling or Data Products.
• Strong expertise in SQL, dbt, dimensional modelling and semantic layers.
• Experience owning end-to-end analytics solutions from requirement gathering to production.
• Solid knowledge of data quality, testing, governance, lineage and observability.
• Strong stakeholder management with the ability to define and reconcile business KPIs.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and code review practices.
• Experience with SAP BW and finance reporting (nice to have).
• Knowledge of Databricks, Unity Catalog, dbt Semantic Layer or Cube (nice to have).
• Python for automation, testing and data processing (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Define and govern business metrics, KPIs and reusable transformation logic.
• Lead data quality, testing, observability and analytics engineering best practices.
• Translate complex business requirements into production-ready data solutions.

• Mentor Analytics Engineers and collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts and Scientists.
