Axians Portugal is seeking a Junior Settlement Claims Officer to ensure the integrity of late settlement processes across Forex, Money Market, Equities, Bonds, and Derivatives. You will verify claims, book payments to counterparties, and drive timely settlements while working closely with Back Offices and other stakeholders.

The role emphasizes strong analytical abilities, Excel proficiency, and a proactive approach to improving processes.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.
• Knowledge of Forex, Money Market, Equities, Bonds or Derivatives is valued.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Integrate, verify, and detect claims files opened following late settlement events.
• Book claims received from and paid to external counterparties, ensuring first-level validation of their legitimacy.
• Prepare and send claim letters to counterparties and actively follow up to ensure timely payment.
• Interact daily with Back Offices and counterparties to monitor claim progress and accelerate file closure.
• Generate SWIFT payments and monitor cash breaks.
• Assess and impact interest claims on trading portfolios.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and contribute to operational risk reduction.
• Formalize procedures and maintain operational documentation and guides.
