Randstad Digital Portugal in Lisbon seeks a Settlement Claims Officer to ensure accurate detection, settlement, and receipt of interest across Forex, money markets, equities, bonds and derivatives. You will manage end-to-end claim lifecycles with internal teams and external counterparties.

Daily duties include verification, booking of claims, proactive follow-up within 60 days, and collaboration with Back Offices to close files efficiently and securely.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Solid understanding of accounting/finance concepts and processes.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Daily integration, verification, and detection of claims folders opened after late settlement.
• Booking of claims received and paid from/to external counterparties and initial control of claim legitimacy.
• Send claim letters for further receipt to counterpart within 60 days and chase for payment.
• Interact with Back Offices and Counterparties to progress claim status and update databases.
• Swift payment generation and monitoring of cash breaks.
• Assess impact of interest claims on the trading portfolio and propose improvements.
• Formalize team procedures and operating guides to reduce risk and improve processes.

Job Description:

• The Settlement Claims Officer mission is to ensure the integrity and the exhaustiveness of detection, payment and receipt of interest.
• The scope of the products are Forex and Money Market, Equities and Bonds as well as Equity Derivatives.

Main Tasks

• Daily integration, verification, and detection of claims folders opened after late settlement.
• Booking of claims received and paid from and to external counterparties in the appropriate database and perform the first level control of the claims legitimacy.
• Send claim letter for further receive to the counterpart within 60 days and properly chase for its payment.
• Permanent interaction with Back Offices and Counterparties for claim status progression, taking action to close folders in the best timing, followed by databases constant update.
• Swift payment generation and cash breaks follow up.
• Impact the interest claims on the trading portfolio.
• Proposition of new developments or improvement in the existing chain in order to secure the processes and reduce the operational risk.
• Formalization of team procedures and operating guides.
