Thales in Paço de Arcos, Portugal, is seeking a Junior PMO / Project Financial Controller to join the team. You will combine project management support with financial controlling, working with Project Managers, Finance, Engineering and other stakeholders to monitor performance and forecast and report reliably.
The role requires 1–3 years of experience, a degree in a related field, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English.

We are looking for a Junior PMO / Project Financial Controller to join our team. In this role, you will combine project management support with financial controlling, working closely with Project Managers, Finance, Engineering and other stakeholders to monitor project performance, analyse financial data and support reliable forecasting and reporting.
Support the financial monitoring of projects, including Revenue, Costs, Gross Margin, EBIT and Cash Flow , and monitor actuals against Budget and Forecast;
Support project forecasting activities, including Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC);
Analyse financial deviations, identify potential risks and opportunities, and support the implementation of corrective actions;
Prepare project financial reports, dashboards and KPIs, ensuring accurate and consistent information for management;
Work closely with Project Managers, Finance, Engineering, Procurement and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between project execution and financial performance.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management, Engineering or a related field ;
1–3 years of professional experience, preferably in financial controlling, project controlling, PMO, project management or management reporting;
Good understanding of P&L, costs, revenues, margins and forecasting ;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel ; experience with Power BI and/or ERP systems such as Oracle is a plus;
Fluency in English, strong analytical and organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.
