team.it is seeking a Junior Fullstack Developer to join our Porto-based team. You will work with TypeScript and React on frontend tasks, and support backend services using Node.js and NestJS.

The role emphasizes collaboration across Product, Design, Frontend, and Backend teams to deliver robust, scalable features. You will contribute to building responsive interfaces, APIs, and data validation while expanding your knowledge of modern tooling and cloud-ready practices within an inclusive,

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional experience in Fullstack, Frontend, or Backend development.
• Experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
• Ability to translate business and product requirements into technical solutions with guidance.
• Knowledge of how frontend, backend, APIs, and databases interact.
• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or similar styling frameworks.
• Experience building backend services and APIs with Node.js and NestJS.
• Understanding REST APIs, HTTP, and error handling concepts.
• Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL and ORM frameworks (Prisma/TypeORM/MikroORM).
• Familiarity with Zod for schema validation.
• Understanding OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with Jest or Vitest for unit testing.
• Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

Junior Fullstack Developer (TypeScript & React) - Is that you?

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
• Develop responsive user interfaces and reusable components using modern frontend frameworks and design systems.
• Support the development of backend services and REST APIs using Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
• Integrate frontend applications with APIs and implement appropriate data validation and error‑handling mechanisms.
• Support authentication and authorization implementations using modern security standards.
• Write and maintain unit tests for frontend and backend applications.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Frontend, Backend, and Platform Engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1-3 years of professional experience in Fullstack, Frontend, or Backend Software Development.
• Previous experience developing applications using TypeScript, React, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Basic understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle.

• Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL and ORM frameworks such as Prisma, TypeORM, or MikroORM.
• Familiarity with schema validation technologies such as Zod.
• Understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest or Vitest.
• Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD practices, and collaborative software development.

Nice to Have

• Relevant internships, graduate programmes, or practical software development experience.
• Basic experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
• Exposure to Playwright, Storybook, Figma, and modern development ecosystems.
• Cloud, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Ability to identify, communicate, and resolve blockers proactively.
• Strong willingness to learn and continuously develop technical skills.
