team.it is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer in Porto (Hybrid) to support the daily operations of production systems. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and contribute to deployments, with a focus on reliability and observability.

The role requires 1+ years in IT/DevOps, familiarity with Linux, Docker, and cloud platforms. We value a structured, collaborative approach and progressive learning within an Agile/Kanban environment.

Formación

• 1+ years in IT/DevOps or related roles.
• Experience with Linux systems and command-line.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Understanding of incident management and SLAs.
• Basic understanding of deployment processes.
• Experience with Docker.
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools.
• Ability to read Java/Python or scripting languages.

Junior DevOps Engineer - Is that you?

Location: Porto (Hybrid) Experience Level: Senior Language: English (minimum B2)

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day monitoring and operation of production systems.
• Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents following established operational procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations with mentorship and escalation support.
• Help maintain monitoring dashboards, alerting rules, and observability solutions.
• Contribute to operational activities such as service checks, deployments, and configuration updates.
• Assist in documenting runbooks, operational procedures, and known issues.
• Support continuous improvements in platform reliability, monitoring, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1+ years of professional experience in IT, Systems Administration, DevOps, Operations, or Software Engineering roles.
• Educational background or professional experience in IT Operations, Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering.
• Understanding of operational processes, incident management, and escalation procedures.
• Ability to work within structured support models and service-level objectives.
• Basic knowledge of Linux systems and command-line tools.
• Understanding of system administration fundamentals, including processes, logs, and networking concepts.
• Initial exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with container technologies, particularly Docker.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK Stack.
• Ability to read and understand application code written in Java, Python, or scripting languages for troubleshooting purposes.
• Understanding of deployment processes and operational support activities.
• Comfortable working in Agile and Kanban environments.

Nice to Have

• Cloud and infrastructure-related certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Linux) at Foundation or Associate level.
• Strong interest in cloud technologies, automation, and platform operations.
• Experience with observability and operational monitoring practices.
• Exposure to CI/CD concepts and DevOps tooling.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and automation practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Collaborative approach with effective communication skills.
