Volkswagen Group Services, Lisbon, is hiring a Junior AI & Data Engineer to join the Smart Cloud Factory team. The role focuses on building data processing pipelines, leveraging Python for AI model work, and managing data systems across SQL/NoSQL databases, Docker, and Kubernetes within a hybrid work model in Lisbon.

The team aims to transform manufacturing with real-time data, AI, and cloud-enabled solutions, enabling predictive maintenance and quality control.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or engineering.
• Experience in Software Development, Data Engineering, or AI-related fields.
• Familiarity with Python and data engineering tasks.
• Basic understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases for storage and retrieval.
• Exposure to containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and agile practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Excellent English skills; German a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in designing and developing data processing pipelines between IT and OT systems.
• Use Python to manipulate, transform, and analyze data for AI model training and visualization.
• Support management of SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
• Help build and manage containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design data engineering solutions.
• Participate in data quality and validation activities to ensure integrity.
• Contribute to implementing CI/CD practices to automate software delivery.
• Engage in agile sprint planning and code reviews.
• Stay updated with emerging AI, data engineering, cloud, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks.
