Volkswagen Group Services in Lisbon is hiring a Junior AI & Data Engineer as part of the Smart Cloud Factory Team. You will help design data pipelines, work with Python for AI model tasks, and manage databases and containerized apps.

The role emphasizes collaboration across IT/OT and cloud-native practices to enable predictive maintenance and real-time quality control in a connected factory environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
• Some experience in Software Development, Data Engineering, or AI-related work.
• Proficiency in Python and data engineering tasks.
• Basic SQL/NoSQL databases knowledge for storage and retrieval.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and data services.
• Awareness of CI/CD principles and Agile practices.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative communication skills.
• Very good English, written and spoken; German is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in designing and developing data processing pipelines for IT/OT integration.
• Use Python to manipulate data for AI model training, analysis, and visualization.
• Support SQL and NoSQL databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Build and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and solutions.
• Assist data quality validation and cleansing processes.
• Participate in implementing CI/CD to automate delivery pipelines.
• Engage in Agile sprint planning and code reviews.
• Stay current with AI, data engineering, cloud computing, and DevOps trends.
• Gain hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks.
