Job summary

MIKUTA is seeking a Junior Accountant to support day‑to‑day financial operations across our Portuguese and German entities, handling invoices, VAT returns, and the month‑end close in a small, international team. You'll own real work from day one and have a chance to improve processes and templates as you grow.

Our Studio Office in Berlin and production office in northern Portugal give you a cross‑border perspective, with a flexible hybrid setup including occasional remote work.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Management with solid grounding in Portuguese GAAP.
• Solid knowledge of Portuguese IVA and OSS requirements.
• Hands-on experience with DATEV or similar ERP, posting and reconciling entries.
• Fluent Portuguese and English for day-to-day work.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and employee expenses, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
• Support issuing client invoices and monitor receivables; follow up on balances.
• Post journal entries; assist monthly/quarterly closes; support VAT returns (PT and DE).
• Help prepare statutory reports and audit documentation; identify gaps and propose improvements.
