IRIUM Portugal is seeking a Senior Java Back End developer to join a challenging project, taking a key role in the design and development of scalable, high‑performing software solutions using Java Spring and Agile practices. This position is based in Lisbon with a hybrid work model.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, analyze complex technical challenges, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor colleagues while focusing on scalability, performance, and software quality.

Qualificações

• Proficiency in Java Spring and backend software development.

Requirements

We are currently looking for a Senior Java Back End to join a challenging project, taking a key role in the design and development of scalable, high‑performing software solutions using modern frameworks and Agile practices.

Required Competencies

• Strong/expert proficiency in Java Spring
• Strong experience in backend software development
• Experience designing, developing, and enhancing robust software components
• Experience developing scalable and high-performance applications
• Ability to analyse complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to contribute to technical decisions and solutions across multiple teams
• Experience supporting and guiding team members through knowledge sharing and technical expertise
• Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for improving software solutions
• Strong understanding of modern software development and Agile practices
• English – minimum C1
• Availability to work 3 days per week at the office in Lisbon

Salary Range
