Job summary

Kats Recruitment in Lisbon, Portugal, seeks an Italian-speaking Operations Customer Expert to support an innovative digital banking platform. You will serve as the primary contact for Italian-speaking account holders, handling end-to-end cases across digital channels and upholding compliance and trust.

The role covers multi-channel support, end-to-end ownership of banking cases, and assistance with transfers and security verifications.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Italian (C1/C2)
• Good English for internal tools, procedures and training
• Minimum of 8 months experience in banking/fintech/financial services
• Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment for complex financial cases
• Empathetic, risk-aware mindset with high emotional intelligence and active listening
• High attention to detail and ability to navigate multiple software applications
• Familiarity with Slack and Google Workspace is an advantage
• Currently residing in Portugal or willing to relocate to Lisbon

Responsibilities

• Deliver multi-channel customer support in Italian via phone, email, and live messaging
• Take end-to-end ownership of banking cases with a focus on first-contact resolution
• Assist customers with digital banking features, account management, transfers, and security verifications
• Support payment dispute workflows, chargebacks, and preliminary fraud investigations
• Handle sensitive inquiries with empathy, fairness, and professionalism
• Identify and assist vulnerable customers in compliance with financial service standards
• Escalate complex technical/regulatory/security cases to backend teams when required
• Document case details and communications in internal banking CRM platforms
