Job summary

NexGen Cloud is seeking an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to own the OpenStack and Kubernetes environments powering our global GPU workloads. You will champion infrastructure design, deployment, and end-to-end operations, ensuring performance and reliability for enterprise customers.

You’ll build with infrastructure-as-code, optimise scheduling, and lead incident response while collaborating with Platform, DevOps, AI, Product and Support teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Linux systems administration experience.
• Proven experience building servers and racks; hardware handling on-site.
• Direct hands-on data center work and on-site operations.
• Willingness to travel to Quebec sites as required.
• Solid understanding of networking and storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, deployment, and operation of OpenStack and Kubernetes environments for GPU workloads.
• Build and improve infrastructure using IaC and GitOps practices.
• Optimize GPU workload scheduling and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for stability.
• Lead incident response and drive reliability improvements across the platform.
• Maintain security controls across infrastructure and container layers.
