Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking an Incident Response role in Portugal to monitor and quickly respond to operational events. You will be the first line of defense for incidents originating from monitoring platforms and service desks, aiming to minimize downtime and elevate service quality across environments.

The role emphasizes following Runbooks, automating recurring tasks, and continuously improving operational processes.

Qualifications

• Experience across IT domains (software, cloud, data analytics, networking).
• Enterprise IT application experience.
• Hands-on in DevOps, systems administration, or AWS cloud.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Proactive monitoring and alert handling across infrastructure and apps.
• Incident management and initial service recovery to minimize downtime.
• Execute documented procedures (runbooks) and pre-approved scripts.
• Route complex issues via structured escalation to specialists.
• Maintain and continuously update technical documentation and runbooks.
• Produce regular operational reports and track performance metrics.
• Participate in automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Support Windows, SQL Server, basic Linux/UNIX across multiple environments.
