Job summary

Daikin Europe NV seeks an Internal Service Engineer to join its Technical Help Desk in Paço D'Arcos. You will provide advanced after-sales support to HVAC professionals, diagnosing faults, interpreting schematics and assisting with warranty decisions.

You will coordinate with field service engineers, develop technical documentation and deliver training to junior staff, while ensuring timely and accurate CRM/ticketing records. Portuguese and English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Vocational training in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, or a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Preferably 2 to 3 years of professional experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, technical service or technical support.
• Solid knowledge of the refrigeration cycle and the ability to interpret electrical schematics and control logic.
• Experience in analysing error codes, operating parameters and using diagnostic tools.
• Ability to carry out technical assessments of warranty claims and monitor the quality of repairs.
• Self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, analytical thinking and a results-oriented mindset.
• Experience with product ranges including Split, Multi-Split, Sky Air, VRV systems, heat pumps, AHUs or Chillers.
• Ability to develop technical documentation and support or deliver training.
• Strong customer focus, clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Good command of Portuguese and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with CRM systems, ticketing platforms and diagnostic tools will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support via telephone, WhatsApp and email, including fault diagnosis and recommended corrective actions.
• Interpret electrical schematics and refrigeration cycle principles to support diagnostics.
• Use diagnostic tools and conduct analyses to identify root causes.
• Select and quote replacement parts ensuring technical suitability.
• Manage the warranty repair process and support technical decision-making.
• Coordinate with field service engineers and back-office teams to ensure quality repairs.
• Monitor product performance and identify recurring issues for improvement.
• Develop training content and technical support documentation.
• Share knowledge to support junior team members and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain complete records in CRM and ticketing systems, and respond promptly to customers.
