Job summary

UPS Portugal is seeking a Team Leader to drive daily team operations, coach staff, and coordinate resources in a dynamic logistics setting. The role emphasizes leadership, problem-solving, and continuous service improvement, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy in daily collections and customer interactions.

Ideal candidates have vocational education, Portuguese fluency, English at an intermediate level, and prior team management experience.

Qualifications

• We are looking for someone who is flexible, analytical, enjoys solving problems, and is comfortable making decisions.
• Vocational/professional education is required. A university degree will be considered an asset.
• Previous team management experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
• Schedule flexibility. Working hours: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM.
• Intermediate level of English is required.
• Knowledge of Spanish will be considered an asset.
• Fluency in Portuguese is required.
• Previous experience in Logistics, Warehousing, and Transportation is preferred.
• Availability to travel.
• Results-oriented mindset.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the team under your responsibility (workstation assignments, rotations, task follow-up, etc.).
• Communicate work instructions, safety guidelines, workplace safety requirements, procedures, department meetings, and more.
• Coach and train team members.
• Plan daily resources (including holiday periods), make adjustments, and execute plans.
• Manage daily collections backlogs and the corresponding team (walk-in customers).
