United Investments Portugal is seeking an HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations and contribute to a positive employee experience across the lifecycle.

You will collaborate with employees, managers, and the HR team across processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, HR administration, and policy implementation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 1–3 years in HR, preferably generalist.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting recruitment is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Proactive, hands-on, solution-oriented, discreet.

Responsabilidades

  • Support day-to-day HR operations and ensure HR processes are implemented efficiently and consistently.
  • Manage and maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support employees throughout the lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Prepare employment-related documentation and ensure HR records are up to date.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of HR policies and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and employment legislation in collaboration with HR/legal stakeholders.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR questions and requests.
  • Support managers and employees in day-to-day people-related matters.
  • Help promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Support engagement initiatives, surveys, internal communications, and company events.

MISSION:

The HR Generalist will support the day-to-day Human Resources operations and contribute to a positive employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

This role will work closely with employees, managers, and the HR team across different HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, policies, and people development initiatives.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, people-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle:
  • Support day-to-day HR operations and ensure HR processes are implemented efficiently and consistently.
  • Manage and maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support employees throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Prepare employment-related documentation and ensure HR records are kept up to date.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable employment legislation, in collaboration with the relevant HR/legal stakeholders.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
  • Support recruitment processes in collaboration with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Assist with job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees and ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Maintain an updated talent database and support the development of talent pipelines when required.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions, concerns, and requests.
  • Support managers and employees in addressing day-to-day people-related matters.
  • Help promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, internal communications, and company events.
  • Assist in identifying employee needs and opportunities to improve the overall employee experience.
Performance & People Development:
  • Support the implementation and coordination of performance management processes.
  • Assist managers and employees throughout performance review cycles.
  • Support training and development initiatives, including coordination of learning activities and tracking participation.
  • Help identify opportunities for employee development and engagement.
HR Administration & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data and HR systems.
  • Prepare HR reports and support the analysis of key people metrics.
  • Support payroll-related processes by ensuring employee information is accurate and provided on time to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee queries related to HR processes and benefits.
  • Ensure HR documentation and processes are organized, accurate, and compliant.
Policies, Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
  • Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed about relevant HR practices and employment legislation.
  • Ensure confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive employee information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and employee experience.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as required.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a generalist or corporate HR environment.
  • Good knowledge of HR processes and employee lifecycle management.
  • Previous experience supporting recruitment and selection processes is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
