Discovery Land Company is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for Costa Terra, near Melides-Comporta, Portugal. You will maintain a pristine environment across clubhouse, offices, and private homes, ensuring exceptional cleanliness for members and guests.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Experience in luxury hospitality and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience in professional cleaning or housekeeping, preferably in a high-end setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe handling of chemicals.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain clean, orderly clubhouse, public areas, and residential homes.
• Clean offices, kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor areas to high standards.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies safely.
• Restock soap, paper products, and kitchen consumables.
• Submit billing for work completed and assist management as needed.

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Costa Terra, set outside of Melides - Comporta.

Costa Terra is seeking a Housekeeper to join the Residential Services Department.

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and inviting environment within our prestigious residential community. You will ensure that the clubhouse, public areas, amenities facilities, and private residential homes are well-maintained, presentable, and exceeds the expectations of members and guests. You will work closely with the Residential Services and Club Operations management team to deliver exceptional service and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeper

• Clean Offices, Wc, Kitchen and outdoor areas
• Clean and organize the fridge
• Clean Coffee machines and toasters
• Clean air conditioners whenever necessary
• Clean bathrooms and restock with soap and paper products if needed.
• Vacuum carpeted areas and sweep, scrub and mop floors.
• Clean kitchens including wash dishes and others
• Clean the bins
• Empties and relines all trash containers.
• Cleans glass on windows and doors.
• Dust furniture, pictures, window ledges and shelves.
• Detail cleaning including ceilings, vents, light fixtures, walls, room high and low corners, sky lights, door sills, door tops, tops of decorative and operational furniture.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Submit billing for work completed to management.
• Other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Proven experience in professional cleaning or housekeeping, preferably in a high-end residential or hospitality setting.
• Excellent knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and best practices for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to apply them in the workplace.
• Safety conscious at all times in use of machinery and chemicals to avoid injury to self and others.
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the clubhouse.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License

Additional Requirements

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than 25 kgs.
