Job summary

Minor Hotels Europe & Americas in Lisbon is hiring a Receptionist to warmly welcome guests, check them in and out, and ensure a memorable stay in line with Avani brand values. You will handle room allocations, assist guests with inquiries, upsell services, and coordinate with other departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in Front Office or hotel required.
• Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent.
• Fluency in local language and high level of English.
• Working knowledge of computer software and Front Office systems.
• Flexibility and sales orientation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and complete check-in/check-out for individuals and groups.
• Allocate rooms considering guest characteristics (VIPs, traditional, new customers).
• Communicate guest requests and issues to front office and other departments.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hotel products, services, rates, promotions, and VIP events.
• Inform guests about hotel services and safety information.
• Maximize room occupancy at best rates and manage extranets if needed.
• Use up-selling techniques to promote programs and services.
• Handle reservations and provide local area information.
• Assist other departments and provide night services when required.
• Perform night audit reports and cash operations.
