Moniepoint Inc. is seeking a Head of Engineering for the POS Applications Platform in Portugal. You will lead the dedicated platform team responsible for the POS engineering layer that underpins all POS devices and OEM integrations.

You will shape technical strategy, drive architecture, and govern four pillar areas: developer experience, platform reliability, foundational frameworks, and adoption across squads, enabling scalable growth across markets.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• 6+ years leading engineering teams, ideally in multi-national or VC-backed companies.
• Direct, hands-on experience building software for POS terminals.

Responsabilidades

• Own the technical strategy and architecture for the POS Application Platform.
• Build and govern four core platform pillars: developer experience, platform reliability, foundational frameworks, and squad adoption.
• Define and enforce engineering standards across all POS device types and OEMs.
• Functionally lead POS engineers across Payments, Onboarding, VAS, Savings, and Loans squads.
• Own POS observability end-to-end: monitoring, alerting, and incident response frameworks.
• Drive the architecture for supporting multiple POS device types, onboarding new devices.
• Collaborate with OEM partners and POS hardware team on new device types.
• Build and scale the POS platform team with hiring and mentorship for growth.
• Translate platform decisions into business impact with Product, Payments, and Leadership.
• Establish and improve engineering processes, tooling standards, CI/CD pipelines, and productivity metrics.
