Moniepoint Inc. in Portugal is seeking a Head of Engineering, Field Verification to own the end-to-end platform for field verification, including trip/route management, capacity planning, and API surface.

The role demands 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership, deep backend experience in Java/Spring Boot, and the ability to lead a cross-functional team across web, mobile and backend.

Responsabilidades

• Owning the technical strategy, architecture and roadmap for the Field Verification platform end to end.
• Moving the platform from keep-the-lights-on to deliberate development with prioritised work.
• Leading and growing the cross-functional team and expanding the organization as scope grows.
• Building operational efficiency: trip and route optimisation, task allocation, capacity management.
• Owning APIs and webhooks used by other business units and the corresponding back office.
• Delivering a native mobile experience for field officers.
• Ensuring verification data is structured, auditable and compliant.
• Planning for multi-country expansion and collaboration with product and business units.
• Defining architecture standards, processes, metrics, and hiring/mentoring engineers and managers.
