Jobgether is seeking a Senior Manager, Application Security based in Portugal to lead a growing, fully remote security function. You will shape strategy, implement zero-trust, and embed secure development practices across engineering while guiding IT and compliance teams.

You will define the security roadmap, conduct hands-on reviews, and scale the program using AI-assisted tooling. This role reports to senior leadership and collaborates with customers and auditors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security with hands-on app security experience.
• Built or matured application security programs with measurable impact.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP, secure design, and common vulnerabilities.
• Ability to read code, assess modern web/API architectures, and remediate with engineers.
• 2+ years in people management, coaching and prioritization.
• Hands-on security initiatives while staying technically hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the application security roadmap, incl. vulnerability mgmt and remediation.
• Conduct hands-on reviews, triage vulnerabilities, and scale processes.
• Embed secure SDLC practices and CI/CD security scanning.
• Design an AI-first application security strategy and oversee validation.
• Partner with engineering to avoid bottlenecks while strengthening security.
• Lead third-party/vendor security assessments and maintain standards.
• Establish zero-trust principles with cloud security, IAM, logging, and alerts.
• Lead incident response for app security and coordinate with infra teams.
• Support Compliance Lead and IT with strategic direction and development.
• Align application security, IT ops, and compliance under unified roadmaps.
