Job summary

Somfy is seeking a structured, analytical Material Planner to secure material availability to support production plans. The role collaborates with suppliers, purchasing, planning, production, logistics and warehouse teams to optimize inventory and transport organization.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in material or supply planning, strong ERP/MRP knowledge (SAP S/4HANA preferred), and excellent Excel skills. English at B2 level and strong cross-functional coordination are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or related field.
• Experience in material planning, procurement planning, supply planning, production planning or logistics planning.
• Good understanding of inventory management, procurement lead times, supplier follow-up and transport flows.
• Ability to analyze requirements, identify inconsistencies and anticipate shortage risks.
• Capacity to manage priorities in a fast-changing operational environment.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
• English proficiency at B2 level minimum with international stakeholders.
• Minimum 3 years in Material Planning or similar roles in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP/MRP environments, preferably SAP S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Update long-term procurement plans on an 18 to 24-month horizon.
• Perform stock sizing to balance material availability and inventory optimization.
• Evaluate shortage risks and corrective actions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze requirements and send purchase orders, forecasts and priorities to suppliers.
• Manage pre-production requirements, ramp-ups and ramp-downs for product lifecycle.
• Book transport flows and track execution for timely deliveries.
• Follow up supplier receipts and overdue deliveries.
• Prioritize daily deliveries according to production needs.
• Ensure master data reliability in planning, procurement and logistics systems.
• Lead continuous improvement plans for procurement planning and stock accuracy.
