Job summary

Haworth is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Finance Shared Service Center in Lisbon area. You will manage end-to-end AP processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely payments while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in accounting/finance and 1–2 years of experience, with strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems. English, French and Portuguese language skills are required for this international role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance preferred; fresh graduates with strong learning agility welcome.
• Experience in a Shared Services Center environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable end-to-end from invoice processing to payments.
• Process supplier invoices, employee expenses, intercompany transactions, debit notes and payments.
• Perform account reconciliations for vendor, bank and intercompany accounts.
• Support month-end closing activities and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies and payment issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization and internationally to support processes.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with policies and audit requirements.
• Support audits by providing information and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive automation initiatives.
