Job summary

Swiss Life Asset Managers in Lisbon is seeking a General Ledger Clerk to support G/L and Fixed Asset accounting in a growing European operation. You will manage daily postings, closings, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany activities in a collaborative, cross-border environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, strong accounting fundamentals, and fluent English; French is a plus for working with international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in Accounting with exposure to General Ledger and Fixed Asset processes.
• Fluent English communication, and French language skills for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Process daily journal entries, accruals, prepayments and other G/L adjustments.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings; perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and investigate discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Maintain fixed asset records including capitalization, depreciation, transfers and disposals.
• Prepare audit documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, Divisional Accounting and MDM to improve data accuracy and drive process improvements and automation.
