ISS Tech Team in Porto, Portugal seeks a Senior ML/AI Engineer to stabilise and evolve our AI platform, delivering production-grade Generative AI solutions. You will help mature the platform with guardrails, access controls, and robust deployment practices while collaborating across cloud and Kubernetes environments.

Qualificações

• Strong Python skills and experience building production-grade APIs, backend services and integrations.
• Hands-on experience developing or operating production GenAI solutions using cloud-hosted or open-source language models.
• Experience with LLM, RAG or agent-based systems and an understanding of their production challenges.
• Experience implementing platform controls such as authentication, rate limiting, quotas, token management, cost monitoring or policy enforcement.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerisation, Kubernetes and production observability.
• Experience with CI/CD, deployment automation and reliable software release practices.
• Knowledge of relational databases and experience with vector search or vector databases.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Stabilise, mature and evolve the AI platform supporting production LLM, RAG and agent-based solutions.
• Implement and maintain guardrails, access controls and policy enforcement across models, prompts, agents and tools.
• Improve platform controls for authentication, rate limiting, token usage, quotas, model access and cost monitoring.
• Support shared AI platform services, including LLM gateways, model routing, vector search and orchestration.
• Improve CI/CD, deployment automation and production-readiness practices for AI workloads.
• Work with DevOps and platform engineering teams to deploy and operate AI services across cloud and Kubernetes environments.
• Design, build and maintain GenAI solutions, including RAG pipelines, agent workflows, backend APIs and reusable services.
• Diagnose production issues and contribute to technical standards for secure, reliable and maintainable AI systems.
