Bloq.it in Porto is seeking a skilled Fullstack Engineer to enhance our backend and frontend, delivering scalable services for the smart locker platform. You’ll pull data from multiple systems to build cohesive insights and drive the product forward.

You’ll work across the stack, mentor juniors, and contribute to testing, CI/CD, and best practices in a fast-growing environment with remote-friendly policies.

Qualificações

• Proven experience with both backend and frontend development.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Svelte, React).
• Experience with backend APIs and web applications.
• Familiar with testing strategies and CI/CD practices.
• Strong understanding of version control, logging, and monitoring.

We are in search of a Fullstack Engineerto join our innovative team as our new #bloqstar. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our applications' backend and front end, ensuring seamless user experiences and powerful, scalable services that drive the smart locker revolution.

Fair warning: we're scaling fast and the data and reporting capabilities are scaling with us. You'll often need to pull from multiple systems and build the picture yourself before you can analyse it. If you need everything pre-structured to do good work, this isn't the role.

What you’ll be doing:

• Participate in all stages of development, from initial planning to post-development maintenance
• Develop both backend and frontend systems, ensuring they’re well-organized, scalable, testable, and easy to maintain
• Solve complex technical problems with creative, thorough, and practical solutions
• Proactively identify issues, bottlenecks, or opportunities for improvements and implement solutions
• Write clean, maintainable code and advocate for solid engineering principles like SOLID
• Contribute to a culture of best practices, high-quality code, and shared responsibility for testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering continuous learning and improvement

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Proven experience with both backend and frontend development
• Hands-on experience with modern frameworks like Svelte, React.js, or others for frontend development
• Experience with backend development, APIs, and web-based applications
• Familiar with testing strategies and implementing them at various levels
• Strong understanding of continuous integration, deployment, and delivery practices
• Solid experience with version control, logging, and monitoring tools
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous learning and improvement
• Experience building clean, maintainable, and efficient code

It would be great if you would also have:

• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a critical mindset for tackling complex technical challenges
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to evolving project needs and technologies
• Experience working in cloud environments like AWS.
