Job summary

Vodafone is seeking a proactive Front-End Developer to join the Digital Innovation team in Network Operations. You’ll shape frontend solutions, build reusable components, and drive the delivery of modern web/mobile experiences.

You’ll collaborate across cross-functional teams and focus on quality, performance, and scalability. The role requires 3+ years of front-end experience, strong React/TypeScript skills, and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong expertise in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3 with modern component-based development.
• Experience with micro-frontends, reusable components, modularity, and scalable front-end architectures.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservices; integrate front-end with backend services.
• Hands-on experience with Git, npm, Webpack and ESLint; collaborative development and code quality.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based environments; testing and quality assurance.
• Fluent English, written and spoken (C1).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality front-end digital solutions and reusable components for web apps.

• Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, and solution definition for new needs.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain high-quality Front-End digital solutions and reusable components for web applications;
• Drive continuous improvements across our digital products, with a focus on usability, performance, scalability and maintainability;
• Participate in requirements analysis, technical design and solution definition for new business needs and product evolutions;
• Develop solutions based on modern Front-End architectures, including micro-frontend approaches and integration with backend services through APIs and web services;
• Ensure code quality through appropriate testing, code reviews and adherence to development standards and engineering best practices;
• Contribute to defining, sharing and continuously improving Front-End development standards, coding guidelines and best practices across the team;
• Work within Agile delivery frameworks, actively contributing to planning, refinement, development and delivery activities;
• Embrace a continuous delivery approach across development, integration, testing and deployment, leveraging CI/CD practices and automation;
• Troubleshoot application issues and contribute to the continuous improvement, reliability and evolution of existing digital products;
• Stay up to date with emerging Front-End technologies, frameworks and development practices, assessing their potential value and applicability to our digital ecosystem

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience;
• Core Front-End: Strong expertise in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3, applying modern component-based development principles;
• Architecture: Experience with micro-frontends, reusable components, modularity, scalability and maintainability;
• API Integration: Solid understanding of REST APIs, web services and microservices architectures, integrating Front-End applications with backend services;
• Development Tools: Hands‑on experience with Git, npm, Webpack and ESLint, following collaborative development and code‑quality practices;
• CI/CD & Cloud: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated build, testing and deployment processes within cloud‑based environments;
• Testing & Quality: Strong understanding of unit and integration testing, with a clear focus on software quality and continuous improvement;
• UX/UI: Good understanding of UX/UI principles, responsive design and usability, creating intuitive and consistent digital experiences;
• Agile: Experience working in Agile environments, particularly Scrum and/or SAFe;
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and translate them into effective technical solutions;
• Collaboration & Ownership: Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional and multicultural teams, engaging with both technical and business stakeholders while managing priorities independently;
• Additional technical skills: Knowledge of Flutter for cross‑platform mobile development and Node.js/NestJS for broader end‑to‑end application development;
• 3+ years of professional Front-End development experience, preferably in complex enterprise environments and large‑scale digital solutions;
• Proven hands‑on experience delivering modern applications using React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3;
• Practical experience with micro-frontends, REST APIs, CI/CD, cloud environments and Front-End testing;
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment and continuous evolution;
• Proven ability to collaborate within Agile, cross‑functional and multicultural teams;
• Fluent English, written and spoken – C1 level
