Job summary

Siemens Energy Real Estate EU Hub is seeking a Finance Controlling Intern to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for Real Estate activities. You will work with the Real Estate Finance team to ensure transparent financial performance and engage with local stakeholders.

The role targets analytical learners, with proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint and exposure to SAP/Power BI, plus an interest in AI-driven finance processes. Remote work is allowed within Portugal.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards, or recently completed, a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen interest in financial controlling, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with databases, SAP, Power BI, thinkcell, Analysis for Excel, or SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support accurate financial reporting for Real Estate activities, preparing reviews of actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including reporting, risk and opportunities analysis, and variance analysis.
• Monitor key financial metrics such as gross cost, free cash flow, profit impact, and capital expenditure, preparing regular reports for management.
• Contribute to process improvements and reporting enhancements, implementing new business tools and finance processes while utilizing AI tools to streamline routine tasks.
• Support ad-hoc analysis and presentations to aid decision-making within the Real Estate Finance team.

What You Bring
