Severalnines is seeking a hands-on Field & Community Marketing Manager to build and run a connected program of conferences, meetups, owned events, webinars and expert conversations. You will translate priorities into a rolling 12‑month plan and cultivate a network of organizers, customers and partners.
Responsibilities include end-to-end event delivery, speaker prep, agenda shaping, and nurturing engagement across audiences.
Please note that the position is 100% remote and we are open for candidates from around the world.
Severalnines helps organizations run business-critical databases on infrastructure they control. ClusterControl automates operations across heterogeneous database estates, while CCX enables enterprises and service providers to deliver private, sovereign and white-label database services.
We are looking for a hands-on Field & Community Marketing Manager to build and run a connected program of conferences, local meetups, owned events, technical webinars and expert conversations.
Your job is to bring Severalnines closer to the practitioners, buyers and partners who need our products - and turn that access into lasting relationships, product adoption and qualified commercial conversations.
Field and community are a core part of our go-to-market direction, not a short-term experiment. You will turn that direction into a repeatable program: choosing the right opportunities, bringing the right audiences together, delivering credible experiences and making sure useful engagement continues after each event.
The program supports ClusterControl and CCX, our company flagship products, with the conversation adapted to each audience and account.
Translate company, product and market priorities into a rolling 12-month calendar. Give every activity a clear audience, purpose, account or community focus, budget, delivery plan and next step. Balance major sponsorships with smaller ecosystem appearances, local collaborations and owned formats.
Develop a network of organizers, local hosts, technical experts, customers and partners. Create reasons for people to return, contribute, share their experience and introduce others. Assess existing community channels and focus on useful participation rather than launching new channels simply to grow membership.
Own sponsorships, venues, vendors, budgets, timelines, travel and on-site or virtual production. Recruit and prepare speakers, shape practical agendas with technical experts, coordinate assets and rehearsals, and run post-event reviews. Build reusable playbooks so delivery becomes more consistent as the program grows.
Work with Sales and Marketing Operations to identify target accounts, partners and relevant roles, then coordinate invitations, promotion and meeting booking. Tailor the experience for practitioners, decision-makers, customers and providers rather than treating every registration as the same type of lead.
Work with Marketing Operations on registration, segmentation, nurture and CRM capture. Route participants toward technical education, product evaluation, architecture reviews, partner discovery, community participation or Sales as appropriate. Agree qualification and follow-up expectations with Sales, provide useful context and track acceptance, next actions and outcomes.
Coordinate recordings, interviews, clips, technical takeaways and follow-up resources with Creative & Brand and our subject-matter experts. Use these assets to continue community conversations and support account follow-up. Bring recurring audience questions and feedback back to Marketing, Product and Sales.
Track delivery, audience relevance, repeat participation, qualified conversations, product actions, opportunity contribution and follow-up coverage. Maintain accurate spend forecasts, distinguish sourced from influenced opportunities, and recommend where to invest more, change the approach or stop an activity.
These are planning assumptions, not a requirement to maximize event volume. You will refine the mix around audience relevance, market opportunity, production capacity and budget.
Named-account follow-up and community engagement continue throughout the year.
Local hosts, partners and internal contributors will help extend the program across selected markets. You are not expected to launch everywhere or deliver every activity alone.
You will report to the Marketing Director and work closely with Creative & Brand, Marketing Operations, Sales, Product, Engineering and Support.
You will manage approved field and community allocations and recommend changes, while the Marketing Director retains overall budget and strategic-priority decisions.
You own program delivery, relationships, audience experience and effective handoffs.
Sales owns accepted opportunities and closing. Technical experts own technical accuracy and product commitments.
This is a program ownership role with hands-on execution. It is not an SDR position, and you are not expected to personally create every technical presentation, design asset or recording.
You Will
Success means building stronger access to relevant accounts and ecosystems, increasing repeat participation and advocacy, delivering consistently within budget, and creating more meaningful product and commercial next steps from audience engagement.
You will review follow-up and opportunity contributions regularly with Sales and provide clear recommendations to the Marketing Director.
Attendance and registration counts matter as operating measures, but they are not the goal on their own. The goal is to build a field and community program that creates useful relationships, credible engagement and measurable business impact.
