Sixt Research Development Services, Lda. leads payroll for Western Europe with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance and timeliness.

You will manage a payroll team, coordinate with external providers, and partner with HR and Finance to ensure data integrity and compliant postings. The role blends hands-on ownership, leadership and regional coordination, with hybrid working and access to AI tools to accelerate processes and learning.

Qualifications

• Multi-country payroll leadership experience (min. 2 years).
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax and social security across Western Europe.
• Proven people management, coaching and succession planning.
• Solid Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and playbook documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with Finance/Accounting and Local HR to ensure data quality.
• Willingness to standardise processes and drive automation.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end monthly payroll cycle for all countries in scope, maintaining calendars, validating inputs and ensuring timely sign-off.
• Lead, coach and develop the payroll team; plan workloads and provide back-up coverage.
• Manage external payroll providers; monitor SLAs, perform quality checks and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance/Accounting and Local HR to ensure data quality and correct GL postings.
• Standardise and document processes via country playbooks and pursue automation opportunities.
• Act as deputy for a peer payroll manager to maintain uninterrupted service delivery.
