Yofy in Lisbon is seeking an experienced backend engineer to own high-throughput services for a real-time odds infrastructure used by hedge funds and bookmakers.

You'll design, build and scale REST and WebSocket APIs, develop data pipelines for live odds, and improve performance and reliability across the platform. 2–3+ years in backend with TypeScript (Node.js) and PostgreSQL is desired; relocation support is available and the team works four days a week on-site in Lisbon.

Qualificações

• 2 to 3+ years of backend development in production.
• Strong TypeScript (Node.js).
• Solid experience designing and building APIs, both REST and WebSocket.
• Good command of PostgreSQL; Redis and ClickHouse are a plus.
• Autonomy: you take ownership and move without hand-holding.

Based in Lisbon, this is a rare chance to join a small, fast-moving team of real team players at a profitable sports data company.

Their product is a sharp one: a real-time odds infrastructure that pulls data from hundreds of bookmakers and serves it to hedge funds, market makers and major European bookmakers, who trade on it. The API is the product, and milliseconds matter.

They're looking for an experienced backend engineer who can take ownership of high-throughput services and help scale their trading and risk platform.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and REST/WebSocket APIs
• Build data pipelines that ingest, process and serve odds data in real time
• Improve performance, observability and resilience across the platform
• Take part in architecture decisions and design reviews
• Write clean code and review your teammates' code

What They Require

• 2 to 3+ years of backend development in production
• Strong TypeScript (Node.js)
