Lightsource bp is seeking an Environmental Planner to support the Portuguese solar pipeline from Lisbon. You will manage the environmental and planning processes, liaise with local authorities, and coordinate consultants to prepare environmental assessments and planning applications for large-scale solar projects across Portugal.

The role covers due diligence, constraints analysis, stakeholder engagement, and post-construction planning audits, with travel around the country likely to support

Qualificações

• Solid knowledge of the Portuguese environmental and planning system.
• At least 5 years of experience managing environmental planning applications.
• Experience on renewable energy projects is a plus.
• Experience using GIS tools for constraints mapping (ArcGIS or similar).
• Strong technical, project management and communication skills.
• Fluent Portuguese and English.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and report environmental and permitting risks across project pipeline.
• Due diligence on environmental planning/permit applications and authorisations.
• Planning constraints analysis using GIS, desktop assessments, and site visits.
• Close management of consultants for environmental and planning assessments.
• Manage ecological monitoring activities and ensure best practices.
• Stakeholder engagement for new solar farm developments and meetings.
• Engage with environmental authorities and prepare post-construction audits.
• Prepare technical specs and scope of works for contracts.
• Analyze upcoming legislation and its impact on projects.
• Undertake post-construction planning compliance audits for assets.
