Nadara Services Portugal, Unipessoal is seeking an HSE Project Coordinator to oversee the construction phase of solar and wind projects in Lisbon. This full-time role involves ensuring that all projects comply with safety and environmental regulations while promoting best practices in health and safety.

The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, a degree in Engineering, and fluency in English and Portuguese. This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

Job Summary

The HSE Project Coordinator will be based in Portugal and report to the HSQE Development & Construction Manager. The role involves preparing and managing the construction phase of NADARA’s development pipeline of solar and wind projects, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and with minimal environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate business activities of all involved entities as required by Law no. 102/2009 and Decree Law n.º 273/2003.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement Health & Safety and Environmental Plans for projects and procedures in Portugal.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits; monitor project progress and report status to management.
  • Develop and enforce site risk assessment and maintain compliance with control measures throughout construction.
  • Implement action plans concerning preventive and corrective activities at solar and wind farms.
  • Implement and coordinate emergency procedures.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues and contractors on method statements, safe systems of work, and updated legislation.
  • Define local HSE training plans and provide training to workers on safety and environmental practices.
  • Manage, monitor, and analyze HSE performance data; respond to and investigate accidents and incidents.
  • Evaluate incident, observation, and other HSE data to identify trends; create and implement Nadara-specific HSE programs.
  • Support on identification of hazards, evaluation, and control of professional and environmental risks.
  • Participate in the design of initiatives to promote environmental and safety awareness internally and externally.
  • Review and validate HSE requirements in contracts during the development phase.
Relevant Experience & Competencies & Behaviours
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as HSE Project Coordinator in the renewable energy sector, especially solar and wind power projects.
  • Experience in developing and implementing safety and environmental procedures.
  • Experience conducting site inspections and audits.
  • Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 management systems.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Solid knowledge of applicable Portuguese HSE legislation and technical guidance for high‑risk activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands‑on proactivity; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results and solution‑focused; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and outside entities such as suppliers and regulatory agencies.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Knowledge of construction and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, specifically solar and wind power.
  • Strong working knowledge of safety and environmental legislation.
  • Dynamic, proactive, and well‑organised.
  • Good knowledge of Office 365 collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge in SharePoint.
  • Knowledge in HSQE specific software desirable.
Education & Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, preferably Environmental Engineering.
  • Occupational Health & Safety Diploma (Ms, Post‑Graduation or other recognised certification).
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese; other language desirable.
  • Driver's license.
Location & Time

Lisbon, Portugal. Full‑time, regular schedule. Availability for traveling in Portugal.
