Nitro is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team behind the Nitro Automate Platform. You will guide engineers building AI-powered APIs, document automation tooling, and MCP server integrations in a fast‑moving product.

This is a highly visible leadership role combining engineering excellence with AI product development. Based in Porto, Portugal, you’ll collaborate with our Dublin team and enjoy a Hybrid Work model with three days onsite and two days remote each

Qualificações

• 3–5+ years as an Engineering Manager in software
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
• Strong backend/API development background
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development and production APIs
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and agile/scrum practices
• Excellent communication and leadership across stakeholders

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers delivering AI-powered APIs and document automation tooling
• Drive the full engineering lifecycle from product spec to production deployment
• Champion AI-assisted development practices across the team
• Define technical direction and architectural standards for the Automate Platform
• Own delivery for platform features including APIs and MCP server integrations
• Foster engineering excellence and rapid iteration
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies
• Lead stakeholder communication and technical decision visibility
• Contribute to company-wide engineering best practices
