Job summary

Randstad Digital Portugal is looking for a detail-oriented Trade Confirmation Professional to join our Front and Middle Office teams in Lisbon. You will verify bookings, perform trade matching across FX, Money Market, and derivatives, and confirm details with clients before value dates.

You will drive risk controls, ensure documentation accuracy, and collaborate with global teams to optimize Straight Through Processing.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ISDA definitions, templates, and standards.
• Familiarity with Investment Banking products (FX, Money Market, Vanilla, Exotics, Complex Structures).
• Experience in Middle Office / Back Office and risk control.
• Spanish: Fluent

Responsibilities

• Check and verify Front Office trade bookings in the system to ensure accuracy against client documentation.
• Perform electronic and paper trade matching across asset classes following ISDA definitions and templates.
• Affirm trade details verbally or in writing with clients prior to value date.
• Identify and solve discrepancies; escalate critical issues as needed.
• Archive incoming confirmations and monitor workflows to meet deadlines.
• Be daily point of contact for external clients to resolve discrepancies and maintain relationships.
• Collaborate with Front Office Trading, Sales, Legal, Compliance, IT, and drafting teams globally to agree on documentation.
• Participate in ongoing review of controls and process optimization, focusing on STP and risk management.

Main Responsibilities:

• Check and verify Front Office trade bookings in the system to ensure accuracy (dates, amounts, rates) against documentation received from clients, mitigating operational risk for the business lines.
• Perform electronic and paper trade matching for a variety of products (vanilla, exotics, complex structures) across asset classes (Foreign Exchange, Money Market) following ISDA definitions, approved templates, and industry best practices.
• Perform verbal and/or written affirmations of trade details directly with clients prior to the value date or maturity of transactions.
• Identify, investigate, and solve financial or legal discrepancies on incoming confirmations; resolve queries and **escalate** critical issues effectively.
• Ensure accurate archiving of all incoming confirmations and monitor/prioritize workflows to meet timely matching deadlines.
• Act as a daily point of contact for external clients to resolve discrepancies, satisfy their documentation requests, and maintain strong client relationships in compliance with internal group policies.
• Maintain daily operational contact with Front Office Trading, Sales, Legal, Compliance, IT, and Drafting teams globally (including Paris, Montreal, and Singapore) to agree on documentation with counterparties.
• Participate in continuous review of controls and process optimization, focusing on Straight Through Processing (STP), risk management, new product initiatives, and business expansion across global regions.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of ISDA (International Swaps and Derivatives Association) definitions, confirmation templates, and standards.
• Familiarity with Investment Banking products (Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Vanilla, Exotics, and Complex Structures).
• Previous experience in Middle Office / Back Office (Trade Matching / Documentation Matching) and operational risk control.
• Spanish: Fluent

Working Hours: US Shift (EST):

13:30 to 22:30 (or 14:00 to 23:00) Lisbon Time.
