Job summary

Aubay Portugal is hiring for an experienced DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines and IaC, enabling self-service platforms and AI-driven automation. The role emphasizes security, governance, and compliance within an international team.

You will work across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers with Kubernetes/OpenShift, and modern CI/CD tools, contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infra Engineering.
• IaC principles, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift expertise.
• Linux/Unix admin, Git mastery, cloud platforms AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Security automation with SAST/DAST tools, container security, Vault, GDPR/SOX.
• Experience with AI agents and LLMs in operations (AI4DevOps) and programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of CI/CD pipeline automation and IaC principles to remove manual toil.
• Prototype and validate emerging automation technologies, including AI4DevOps, and set standards.
• Design self-service platforms for CI/CD, IaC, security scanning, and observability.
• Pioneer AI-driven automation within the DevOps ecosystem and establish governance.
• Automate security validation, compliance checks, and dependency scanning to reduce friction.

What will you do?

• Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive CI/CD pipeline automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles to eliminate manual toil.
• Drive innovation by prototyping and validating emerging automation technologies, including AI4DevOps, and establishing excellence center standards.
• Design and maintain robust self-service platforms for CI/CD, IaC, security scanning, and observability, enabling team independence.
• Pioneer AI-driven automation within the DevOps ecosystem, including the design and deployment of AI agents and establishing governance frameworks.
• Automate security validation, compliance checks, and dependency scanning, focusing on reducing developer friction and enhancing productivity.

What are we looking for?

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, with 6+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles, robust CI/CD pipeline automation (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), deep containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Strong experience in Linux/Unix system administration, Git mastery, and practical knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven background in security automation, including SAST/DAST tools (e.g., SonarQube, Checkmarx), container security scanning, secrets management (HashiCorp Vault), and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
• Understanding of AI agents and LLM applications in operations (AI4DevOps), familiarity with prompt engineering, and proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Bash.
• Fluent in English (minimum B2 level) for effective communication within an international team.
