Job summary

Aubay Portugal is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to coach and transform DevOps practices in the Digital Infrastructure team in Lisbon, overseeing a 10+ member team.

You will drive CI/CD tooling, automation, and knowledge sharing across teams in an Agile environment, with a hybrid work model. The role offers growth, training, and a supportive culture focused on collaboration and integrity.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience as a DevOps Engineer with coaching focus.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD tooling and automation.
• Solid understanding of Azure cloud, Kubernetes, and container platforms.
• Python used for automation and scripting.
• Ability to coach teams and drive DevOps adoption with workshops.

Job description

What will you do?

• Coach Dev and Ops teams to improve their DevOps maturity, practices, and autonomy within the Digital Infrastructure team.
• Support, improve, and promote CI/CD tooling and automation practices across various teams and projects.
• Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities to foster continuous improvement.
• Participate actively in solution studies, technical design decisions, and the overall DevOps transformation strategy.
• Act as a local manager in Lisbon, overseeing a team of 10+ and ensuring coordination, team alignment, and local relay with Digital Infrastructure management.

What are we looking for?

• Proven professional experience of at least 5 years as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong focus on coaching and transformation.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD tooling, including GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, XL Deploy, Argo CD, and Ansible.
• Solid understanding of Azure cloud services, cloud operating models, Kubernetes, and container platforms.
• Proficiency in Python for development or scripting, specifically for automation purposes.
• Demonstrated ability to coach technical teams, drive DevOps adoption, and facilitate workshops effectively.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, cross-functional collaboration, and a minimum English B2 level.
